Our Relocation Offices in Switzerland

Our Relocation Offices in Switzerland

Three offices, one team, covering 26 cantons across Switzerland.

My Swiss Relocation runs three offices in Switzerland, in Geneva, Lausanne and Zurich, so you can meet a consultant who knows your region and speaks your language. Whether you are moving to the Lake Geneva area, the greater Zurich region, or a canton without a local office, the same team coordinates your file from first contact to settling-in.

This page explains how the offices are organised, which cantons each one covers, and how to reach the right consultant. If you already know your destination canton, use it to pick your point of contact; otherwise, any of the three offices can direct your enquiry to the right person.

Where our relocation offices are located

Each office operates as a full relocation team, not a satellite branch: consultants based there handle immigration files, home finding, schooling and settling-in for their region from start to finish.

You can visit an office by appointment, send documents by post, or simply call ahead of a video consultation. Most clients never need to visit in person, since the bulk of a relocation file is coordinated remotely with viewings and appointments arranged on the ground.

Which office covers your canton

Switzerland's relocation practicalities, permit procedures, housing markets and school systems vary by canton, which is why we organise coverage regionally rather than from a single head office.

The Geneva and Lausanne offices together cover the Lake Geneva region and most of French-speaking Switzerland. The Zurich office anchors our presence in German-speaking Switzerland, including Zug, Lucerne, St. Gallen and Basel, where we work locally without a physical office.

  • Geneva office: canton of Geneva and neighbouring cross-border areas
  • Lausanne office: canton of Vaud and the wider Lake Geneva region
  • Zurich office: canton of Zurich, plus Zug, Lucerne, St. Gallen and Basel
  • All three offices coordinate together across the remaining cantons in our network of 26

Not sure which office fits your move, or relocating to a canton not listed here. Tell us your destination and we will assign the right consultant, wherever you are headed in Switzerland.

What to expect from your first contact

A relocation file usually starts with a short call or a form describing your situation: destination, timeline, family composition and the type of support you need. From there, a consultant reviews your case and outlines the steps ahead.

First contact carries no commitment. A consultant replies to every request within 24 hours on business days, Monday to Friday, excluding Swiss public holidays, so you are never left waiting to know what happens next.

Remote coordination versus in-person visits

Most steps of a relocation, from document review to shortlisting flats, are coordinated by phone, video call and email. Consultants only need you on the ground in Switzerland for viewings, official appointments and signing contracts.

  • Document review and permit preparation: remote
  • Home viewings and school visits: in person, scheduled around your travel dates
  • Administrative registration appointments: in person, with a consultant alongside you where useful

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to visit an office in person to start my relocation?
No. Most files begin with a phone call, video consultation or online form, and consultants coordinate documents and planning remotely. In-person time is reserved for viewings and official appointments once you are in Switzerland or visiting ahead of your move.
Which office should I contact if I am moving to Zug or Basel?
Contact the Zurich office. We work actively in Zug, Lucerne, St. Gallen and Basel from our Zurich team, even though we do not have a separate physical office in each of those cities.
Can one office handle a move that involves two cantons, such as a job in Geneva and a home in Vaud?
Yes. The Geneva and Lausanne offices work together on cross-canton moves within the Lake Geneva region, and coordinate with the Zurich office when a file spans French-speaking and German-speaking Switzerland.
How quickly will a consultant respond after I make contact?
A consultant replies within 24 hours on business days, Monday to Friday, excluding Swiss public holidays. Reaching out first carries no commitment on your part.
Do all three offices offer the same services?
Yes. Each office covers the full range, including immigration and permit support, home finding, schooling, settling-in and departure assistance. The difference is regional knowledge, not the scope of services available to you.
