When leaving Switzerland, you must terminate numerous contracts: LAMal health insurance, household and liability insurance, telephone and internet subscription, public transport, electricity, Serafe fees, gym, etc. Each contract has its own termination conditions and notice. When should I cancel my LAMal health insurance?
As soon as you have a confirmed departure date, send the termination to your health insurance with proof of unsubscription from the municipality. Termination takes effect on the date of your official departure from Switzerland. Premiums paid in advance are refunded pro rata.
Can I cancel my subscriptions before the end of the contract period?
In the event of departure from Switzerland, most suppliers (telecom, gym) accept early termination upon presentation of proof of moving abroad. Some contracts provide for early termination fees. We negotiate the best conditions for you.
