From a single canton to a national network

Welcome Service Sàrl began in the canton of Vaud in 1990, when Catherine Burrus set out to offer a premium relocation service to newcomers settling in the region. The company expanded to Geneva and the wider Lake Geneva area in 1995, building the foundations of the group that operates today as My Swiss Relocation.

Leadership passed to a new generation over the following decades. Laetitia Papilloud joined as a relocation consultant in 2004 and took over the company's leadership when Catherine Burrus retired in 2009. Guillaume Bédat joined in 2014 to support the company's growth, and the two now run the group together as managing partners.

A dedicated immigration department was launched in 2019 to handle the growing complexity of Swiss work and residence permit procedures. The Lausanne office opened in 2017, and in 2023 the group expanded nationally through the acquisition of Schweizer Relocation GmbH and Touchdown Relocation, followed by the opening of a Zurich office.

Who runs the company today

Welcome Service Sàrl is managed today by Laetitia Papilloud and Guillaume Bédat, who lead the group as managing partners. The company has stayed independent and family-run throughout its history, without being absorbed into a larger corporate group.

That independence shapes how the team works with clients: a first contact with My Swiss Relocation is always without commitment, and every request receives a reply from a consultant within 24 hours on business days, Monday to Friday, Swiss public holidays excluded. Professional secrecy applies to every mandate the group handles.

Offices and reach across Switzerland

My Swiss Relocation operates from three offices: Geneva, Lausanne and Zurich, and the group's relocation consultants cover assignments in 26 cantons. Beyond the three office locations, the team is also active in Zug, Lucerne, St. Gallen and Basel, working locally with clients even where there is no permanent office.

This structure lets the group support both cross-border moves within French-speaking Switzerland and mandates in German-speaking cantons, using the same coordinated approach for immigration, home finding, schooling and settling-in support.

Membership in professional relocation networks

Welcome Service Sàrl is a founding member of SARA, the Swiss Association of Relocation Agents, and a member of EuRA, the European Relocation Association. Both associations bring together relocation providers who follow shared professional standards across borders.

The group also maintains institutional and regional ties in western Switzerland: it holds an institutional link with the CCIG, the Geneva chamber of commerce, industry and services, and is part of the regional network of the CVCI, the Vaud chamber of commerce and industry. These affiliations reflect the group's roots in the local business community it has served since 1990.

What the group does for expats, families and companies

Under the My Swiss Relocation brand, the group's consultants handle EU/EFTA and non-EU immigration, legitimation card applications, home finding, temporary housing, schooling support and settling-in and departure services. Corporate clients also rely on the group for executive relocation, intercultural training and support structured around company mobility policies.

Across more than 35 years, the group has completed over 10,000 relocation mandates, giving its 40 or more consultants a broad base of practical experience with the administrative and personal sides of moving to Switzerland.
